Wheelie bar mod

Anyone have an opinion on which Traxxis wheelie bar kit is easiest to adapt to add to the Amp? Anyone know why ecx doesn't make their own?

I think it's the Stampede one. Look for it in the forum, there are several threads about it.
ECX had their own wheelie bar, sadly discontinued. I'm still wondering why they did it.

You can also add your own. I did it and it was dirt cheap, it's a furniture wheel. I'll take pictures later this week so you can see what I mean.

So I decided to modify the Traxxas 3678 wheelie bar, here's what it looks like. Not the cleanest look, but it works great. And I only attached it to the motor cover so it's easy on/off..

Good question. On 2s the only way I can get my sons Amp to wheelie is by going in reverse and then slamming the throttle forward.

Yes, that's how. I have a 20C 2S battery and I can go about 20 feet in a wheelie by reversing a little and mashing the throttle. I can even lift the fronts from a standing start if the grip is good. It's why I made the wheelie bar my first mod, I was flipping the truck with just the LiPo!

How has your esc r motor not burned out.

The ESC is good up to 3S power and I'm only using 2S. As far as the motor, I'm generally easy on it besides doing wheelies, but I have a 15 turn ready to go in if the worst happens!

same here i just put the Traxxas wheelie bar on my amp! I just need a couple locking nuts and washers and get a dremel to shorten the screws!
