Will the amp take an 8.4 7 cell battery?

Will the amp take an 8.4 7 cell battery?

The chassis seems to have slots for velcro to hold one but not sure if the electronics will either deal with or maximise the use of one of these.

Primarily looking for a little extra power during running. The 5000 7.2 battery currently using seems to get weak fairly quickly (on the MT more than the buggy).

Don't want to go lipo until we have a bit more experience.

Yes it does work. My kids have some 7 cell speedpack 3300mah and they are very tight and you must use velcro but they fit.

I fit in a 7cell 5000mah!! Just had to cut out a bit of the plastic so the wires fit. That was all everything else fits no prob

We use a 8.4v 7cell hump pack and flat pack on the amp mt and both fit fine. I just cut the stock battery holder to hold the front of the battery only.
