Eliminate slop in the rear wheels, aluminum hubs?

I'm running a rather powerful brushless motor and there seems to be more and more slop in the rear wheels (it looks lie it is at the hub level, not the arms). Bearings are holding up fine (Fast Eddy).
Would aluminum hubs help with this? And if so, Hot Racing on ECX?
Could the (stock) hexes also cause this?

Aluminum hubs will work. Rpm has some lower price lighter ones for over sized bearings so they last longer.

A more thorough investigation revealed that the solid plastic links are also to blame. They flex and the balljoints are super loose.
I suppose that's easy to change, anything the right length?

Traxxas links work great. I don’t remember the part numbers but measuring the ones that are on there by center to center or just matching them, at the LHS, within a few millimeters or with in 1/8 inch they are adjustable turnbuckles so it’s pretty simple.

I know, what is Losi doing using the same stuff in theire 400 bucks trucks. I don't expect adjustable links on a 140 bucks kit, but at three times that, what the hell

Those are the right length for the amp rear, but the balls might make the inboard mounting screw rub the out drive. It has the flares that the stock piece doesn't so it pushes the screw out more.
