So just got my kit and built it yesterday. And out running it today and i broke it. Lol stripped the spur gear. Not to sure how it stripped i felt as if i have my mesh tight enough but not sure. Maybe to tight on tue slipper clutch? Anyway i have a new one (and a spare) on the ways along with some different sized pinions and a goolrc 540 3100kv brushless setup.

I use their motor esc combos in all my RC'S

It's probably too late now, but after you stripped your second spur, you might want to go to a 32 pitch spur and pinion I know a guy who went for an associated 59/14 if I'm not mistaken and he hasn't stripped it since.

You don't want your gear mesh to tight as you will strip the spur.

You run a much greater risk of stripping your spur if the mesh is to loose. If it's too tight you simply will not move, or at the least will overheat your motor.

I set my 48p mesh on my high torque crawlers with a piece of paper. Get a simple piece of printer paper and spin it between the spur and pinion. Snug it up some and tighten it down. Then spin the spur to kick out the paper. The ridges shouldn't be all the way through the paper. Just a ripples in it.

Here are some pictures of my amp. Im just waiting on thw brushless cause this thing is to slow for me. Lol i changed out the pinion to a 21 tooth and it helped a bit but its still to slow for me.
