I don't think the tazer 15WP esc has a reverse lockout. Calibrating is a good idea though, maybe it just lost the end point.
My Amp's (admittedly much crappier) esc lost reverse first, then forward as well. It had no braking either when it lost reverse though. Does your esc smell like fried electronics?

The esc does smell burnt. It has foward and brake. Reverse worked then stopped. Tried to re cal but no go. I looking for cheap esc and update the old AM transmitter. This truck will be for the kids. So don't want to put a lot of money into it.

I bought an ebay ESC, it's this one:

It works great. I added a 1000uF capacitor on the battery leads and it runs very cool, somewhere around 100F on a 2s lipo in grass. The motor gets way hotter.
I bought the FlySky GT3C radio/receiver from ebay for $46 and it is great as well. It has a rechargeable lipo and all the settings you want in a radio. And you can buy extra receivers for like $4.
