Losi mini crawler driveshaft compatibility?

The Losi Mini Rock Crawler has 4mm output pinion shafts and the Temper has 5mm output pinion shafts so it will not be a direct fit without some modifications. I have read that other people have successfully used Traxxas and other similar 5mm sized shafts on the ECX Temper but I have not tried it myself.

can you tell me how long the driveshaft is at its shortest and longest? I may have found a replacement
